Ten years ago, Geoffrey Groover returned to Florida to reconnect with his family roots — and found a state in quiet crisis. He spent three years learning Central Florida's waterways firsthand, earned his 6-pack Captain's license, and built a relationship with the water that would eventually demand something of him.
He could have filed it away as someone else's problem. Instead, he built Water Warriors from the ground up — using his own skills, time, and resources — because Florida's water couldn't wait for someone better positioned to care.
